To deliver rigorous, engaging mathematics instruction aligned with Cambridge syllabi, fostering analytical problem-solving skills and preparing students for academic excellence in STEAM fields and competitive university admissions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and rigorous Cambridge A-Level Mathematics lessons.
- Prepare students thoroughly for AS & A-Level examinations.
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with the Cambridge syllabus.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in students.
- Provide individualized support to students, including mentoring and extra help sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and mock exams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Mathematics curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching Cambridge A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Teaching certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent preferred)
- Strong command of Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics (Syllabus 9709).
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and classroom management.
- Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching (interactive whiteboards, graphing software, etc.).
- Experience with exam marking (Cambridge examiner status is a plus).
